I have scanned the site and it looks good.  I am new to the area (fishing wise anyways).  I just have a 19ft and live near Oceanside.  Fishing this year SUCKS...  Went out to Catalina once and only got a couple of bonita... Headed to the Mexican Islands out of San Diego and managed 50 or so sand dabs (tasty) but I am looking for something much larger.  I saw the little movie on the Thresher sharks caught off the diggies and that is what I am looking for.  Do you have any tips, tricks on where, when and bait?

This is a perfect question to post in the "Tackle Talk" forum. Please post it there when you get a chance and I will chime in with more detail I am sure others will chime in also. The short story around here is we are just coming into our bussy fishing season. Once water temps start to get over 60 degrese we start to see white sea bass and yellow tail get bussy around the kelp. We also start watching for T-Sharks and Baracuda that roam just off our coast at o to 5 miles out. At about mid 60's to high 60's we start watching for tuna, dorado, mako sharks and marlin these fish work the offshore banks you can see in our "Hot Spots" map. Once things start to heat up you can watch the fish report forum and learn alot about hot zones and tackle used. I hpe to see you in the forum soon.
