Back Bay Fishing

Wassup!
So my buddy Gregg always raves about bay/harbor fishing in Huntington.  I generally don't see how fishing can be good in a dirty bay...  Well, being that I live so close to the back bay in Newport, i figured i would go and check it out with my buddy/neighbor, Jason.  Jason also has had some very good luck at the wedge and so on.  Well, check out the gallery for the nicest spottie i've ever caught!  My son seems to be the good luck charm, he hooked into a couple dinks before i hooked into this 3.5 pounder!  Come to found out, the back bay has the world record Spottie at about 6 pounds!  Drop shottin' seems to be a good technique!  How do you catch yours in the back bay??  I'll be out there again tomorrow evening!  Thinkin' about float tubin' some docks  just south of the aquatic center.  Share your back bay fishing stories here!!

Wassup!
Another nice hour of fishing tonight!  A lot of wind tonight!  I was still able to catch a few dink spotties and a nice flattie!!  See pics..  I have a question, would anyone eat fish from the back bay?  My buddy Jason won't, but as I released that Halibut today, all I could think about was that frozen halibut i have in the freezer from Sam's club..  what do you think?  Tight lines to ya!
