Had my brother in law from Havasu on board this time.
As we are getting in the truck, he asked if we had any frozen anchovies......
I informed him that we were targeting Threshers and or Halibut and that we would be fishing
live bait,Sardines and mackerel.
I decided to take him to Long Beach, and see if we could find the Halibut and possibly a small thresher or two.
Water color seemed to be a dirty green and not much life other than lizard fish
We tried 3 different areas , with the same results...."nothing"
 After a couple of hours i was completely frustrated..
knowing that the 1 person who could possibly save our day..
out goes a prayer text to Berzerker for any tips.
And i would not be let down, Berzerker clues me in on a hot Thresher bite that his crew and friends were on top of...    THANK YOU BERZERKER

So we cruise over to their location , and it is not long before i am hooked up..
And the first one hits the deck for a quick hook removal ,picture and release.
High fives on the boat and before to long another fish on, this time my brother in law is
is working his first Thresher ever on a 20 lb rod , needless to say it was a long battle for him.
about 25 in he gets his first T to the boat and as i was reaching for the tail the line gives out...
It seemed like only minutes and we are on again...
This one makes a screaming run past the bow , so up the rail i go for the hand off.After i get control again i passed it back to my bro and he successfully gets this 1 to the side of the skippy for a quick tail grab and his first picture holding and releasing a thresher shark..

It didnt take long and i am on again, but only to pull the hook while screwing around on the radio......
We ended up with 2 on the boat out of 4
and my brother in law is taking some sweet memories back to Havasu
with him to share with his family

But a salvaged trip because of friends... "Priceless"

Looked like your brother in law had a good time. And a little 411 network is nice, good to see ya got into them.

oh yeah. congrats to your bro on the first. getting called in on a bite is as good as finding it yourself in my opinion. you just gotta help a brother out.....
