Met with Ofer for a look for a T and a Halibut local. Got some Sardines from Nacho and headed down the line after messing around in the harbor for an hour with zero life or activity. Found some really clean, almost blue water with lots of birds and bait not too far down the line. Put in the rigs and went to work. Right on the top of the tide, after a couple of no hook up slaps, Ofer sets the hook on a T-Dogg. It gets the better of him for a short time, then comes aboard for a photo op and release. Nice work Ofer. After a while my rod starts to get real nervous. I point it out to Ofer as we just watch. It pops out of the clip and I pick it up and set the hook. A much larger T goes ballistic the greyhounds on the surface pasr the boat. It jumps clear of the water again, splashes down, the hook pulls. Darn. That’s all for today as the wind picks up and whitecaps are everywhere. Great day with a good friend.
