Launched alone this morning after a dead to the world sleep last night, got the last little bit of squid that San Pedro bait had and headed up the line. Water was good, tried the kelpline from yesterday but the current was downhill with a slight west wind. Never could get anything going but a single Calico. Saw a bunch of pelicans, gulls terns and cormorants working bait hard back in the cove right on the beach. Moved back in there in 10 feet of water casting onto the beach for 2 leopard sharks and a shovelnose. Thought I really had something there them leopard sharks can fight hard. Moved out and started a drift. Et a couple of lizardfish then a solid bite. @ hours later I head home with 3 halibut, 2 at 23 inches and 1 at almost 28 inches. Stoked
