Yes last week was ALMOST my last day of fishing for good! More on that later. Sorry for the late post but I didn't have my camera with me.
9-17-11 went out with the Silver Ghost again for some local bass fishing with maybe a thresher in afternoon. On the water by 5am, had to go to San Pedro Bait for squid and then off for a semi late start at our favorite local bass spot. Water was nice a clean at our spot. Made a couple of decent drifts for some nice sand bass, a calico and a good size sculpin. Went inside in the early afternoon for some shark fishing. Water inside was full of red tide everywhere. Searched for cleaner water without luck. No slappers or biters inside. Packed it up and off the water by 3pm. All in all a good day.

Here's a pic of the sculpin. Love these guys for tacos.

While fishing our bass spot. The Ghost hooks something. It big but not fighting back. I'm thinking he hooked some kelp and then this came up....

Now for the ending. When I got home I realized that I didn't have my camera. I called up the Ghost and he found my camera in his boat. Since I live in the IE I asked him to hang on to it and I'll come by later for it. Sunday afternoon I grabbed the girlfriend and we jumped on the motorcycle for a quick run out to OC to see the Ghost and to get my camera. Scooting along through Corona doing 80 or so in the carpool and suddenly my rear tire has a blow out. The ass end of the bike is sliding all over the lane and I'm fighting to keep it upright. After a few tense seconds I'm able to slow the bike down and regain control. Thankfully the lady in the SUV next to me saw what happened and is helping slow traffic so I can walk the bike to the shoulder. No injuries just a few frayed nerves and a shredded tire. Almost the end of me. yikes!!

A bolt going thru my fender was sticking out too far on the inside. With me it's no problem (therefore unnoticed) However with the GF on the back it causes a slight rub. BIG PROBLEM!!!
