Heard about some WSB that were caught last week in some local waters me and the Ghost don't fish very often.  Decided to head up and try our luck.  Launched at 5am and baited up with some very nice sardines from LB Bait.  No squid available at any of the bait receivers.

Headed out to the spot and passed Bezerker and Doper anchor up and already fishing.  Found a kelp line with very little current running the right direction and we are lines in.  We had tons and I mean TONS of bait fish all around the area.  Massive balls of bait breaking in the surface.  Toss a little chum and within a second its gone.  However with all the bait everywhere we didn't get any bites.  Caught a couple of nice size calicos 15 to 17 inches and one at 12.  Kept the biggies and took a pic of the smaller one and released.

On the ride back we stopped a drifted a few spots for some halibuts but nada.  Went inside about 1pm to try our luck on some threshers but found unfavorable conditions.  Off the water by 2pm.   Slow day.

The current did us no favors. Darn giant squid in 40 feet of water next to the kelp line after first light sealed the deal. Good to see you both out again. Maybe next time.
