Got a great night’s sleep, woke up at 5am figured WTH, hooked up the sled and tossed in a couple rods. Saw that someone must have seen my previous post (that means the one before this one WWWDDD) cause I saw their truck in the lot.

Got to Long Beach Bait at 7am then headed to the area we were at the day before. Before I could get the third rod rigged I was on. Good first run and I welcomed aboard a 24 inch halibut. Took a quick photo and put it in the bait tank.

Almost 3 hours go by without so much as a raked bait so I pick up and run to another area of clean water. Within 30 minutes a long rod is fully bent and doin the noodle dance. It puts up a real good tussle and up comes a Pinback shark….drat’s. Back done it goes and its noodling a dance again. This time a little different, some strong headshakes and short strong bursts. She comes to the surface and meets the gaff, a nice 34 inch Hallie. At 11 am I pack it up and leave as I have other family stuff. In such a hurry I forgot to take a photo of the smaller one with the TAT card…oh well, it sure will eat good. Nice Sunday morning topper. Thats an 8 inch dodger with it for scale
