Met up with Ofer at 6am in Los Alamitos, D4L had other plans for the day. Put the boat in the water after seeing Silver Ghost and GameOver at the ramp for the exchange of greetings and supplies. Waited in the harbor for Silver Ghost to deliver some bait to us then started bounceballin. Even Fishinhayday and HuntTuna were out there along with a friend or two not on this site. Started off slow for us but GameOver was really whackin em in that same area. We decided to move and within 5 minutes in the new area I was rewarded with a 26 inch fish. Soon after Ofers rod gets a subtle strike, it just lifted, he made a couple of quick grinds on the reel while still in the rod holder and it went full bendo pullin drag. After clearing a rod for gaffin space he had a beautiful 39 inch, almost 23 lb fish on the deck. And nobody knew we had them.

Water was 57*,and a little less clear here so we also had a surface rig out up high with the line in a release clip. Well it popped out with both of us stareing at it, but I was a bit quicker to my senses and set the hook on it. Working on an 8 foot, 12# to 30# rated rod with an Avet sx on even a small Thresher is great fun. Ofer cleared the back of the boat and we lifted it on for a photo then released it. We had two other T-dogg knockdowns, one hooked up but bit thru the mono leader. My bow Butt rod was slammed by a Hallie that did not stick. While I was bringing it up to rebait it, my stern corner rod gets hit and Ofer hot foots to it and gets a nice 31 incher. He learned that quickstep from D4L. That was it for us. Nice day with friends all around. Amongest us I think ours was big fish for the day with GameOver rackin up the high count for the day at 5.
