Met up with D4and Gameover for another shot at the Hallies, In the parking lot the offshore winds were blowing pretty hard. Called Silver Ghost, but he was already in the launch ramp putting it in the water so we decided to wait a little bit by going to Hofs Hut for some breakfast. Spark saw us there but decided to launch also. We finished up eating then launched, got squish from Brian at LB Bait then off to try and find an area out of some of the blow. It blew all morning making for some interesting bouncing. The bite was pretty slow, we heard a whoop from Silver Ghost telling us they got a keeper. Just before the wind laid down around 10:30am, Gameover’s rod bent over. I lifted his 28” fish on the boat for a nice starter fish. We work a while longer and then I get bent. D4L puts the gaff to a nice 31 incher. Had gotten some new trap hooks earlier in the week real cheap, GAWD dem hooks is sharp. Couple of the rigs we had out had them on to see if they were sticky. We made our way back to a close by drop-off and found them wanting and stacked. Gameover is first to hook-up, as he is working the fish D4L goes bendo. Gawd, dem hooks is sharp. I gaff Gameover’s 32 inch fish and drop it on the deck. As I move to help out D4L, Gameover barks out, GAWD,DEM HOOKS IS SHARP. We look over , he has one of the brand new trebles buried in the top of his thumb with the Hallie still hooked up on the deck. I hand him the dykes to cut the line and go looking for the First Aid kit. All the while D4L is still on his fish that shook the single hook loose from the mouth but still had the treble pinned in the outside gill plate causing the fish to spin and plane up behind the boat. GAWD dem hooks is sharp. They are more difficult to gaff when they spin. We are also giving Gameover some guff how we are going to have to cut the hook and push it out the other side. I don’t think he liked that cause by the time I gaffed D4L’s 33 incher, Gameover had jerked the hook out himself. GAWD dem hooks is sharp. D4l was busy with his fish, I was helping Gameover with first aid on his thumb when out of the corner of my eye I see a biter. I step around Gameover and grab the rod, soon I bounce another nice 29 incher on. By the time I get it on Gameover is back in the game an on another fish. We ended up with 5 fish in that little dropoff in about 20 minutes then called in some other friends. Our total was 7 fish from 27” to 33”, one 22” fish released, 3 shorts released, 5 sculpin released. And we all agreed that, GAWD dem hooks is sharp. Nice day guys

Hard to see the 7th fish hiding behind the other 2 I am holding
