Hey SCO'rs just wanted to drop a line to discuss a very important topic to our fishery. In this area conservation is very important. Please be careful when making the decision to take a fish for kill. It is OK to take your picture with fish on leader as long as the TAT card is in the picture and it is obvious the fish is legal. Please do not feel like you have to take a kill to get the points for the tourney. I know I am not telling you anything you dont already know but I just wanted to drop a friendly reminder.

i think we should kill everything, and hide them in the boat, and sell them to the chinks by motomastyx
I grew up in Dana Point and went on the cattle boats alot through out the years and I got ta tell you they cant wait for the fish to be "legal".. even the party boats out of San Diego are keeping juvinal fish "s*** the milks stilll comming out of its mouth still". I grew up here and love the ocean . I havnt killed a calico or sandy in a very long time for that reason and it feels good. I take alot of guff from crew members when I shake a juvinal do do or a yellow off or even a alby...... but in the end its worth it to me cause I know if I toss him back I know its going to get bigger and meaner :) and have a better reporduction chance... I think mindset is people spend all this money to go fishing and keep anything to have somthing to show for it.. a clear mind on fishing is way better..so wether its a sand shark laying on the pier or a bucket of questionalable fish its our responsibility to speak up and inform .........Jeff
We should try to set up a catch and release tournament for all cattle boats. pay $ 5.00 to enter for the year. the top three with the most releases win. Try to change their mind set. just an idea.
