Well my five day trip ended up being one of the most epic trips of my whole life!! We fished Guadalupe Island and got into some big ol yellowfin up to 80#!! All I can say is thank god for 2 speed reels, these fish put up a dam good fight thats for sure.

 

We had some big 15' white sharks join us for lunch a few times which at first was such an awesome site but once they get ahold of your prize fish the attitude towards these beast changes drasticilly but all in all it was still a great experience that I will never forget.

 

We were able to fish the giant yellowtails at night up to 1am and these yellowtail are a different breed then what I have ever seen around here as they pull pound for pound as good as anything I ever hooked into. Again thank god for the 2 speed reels, those things saved my life this trip. To really get a good sense of how my trip was go to  royalstarsportsfishing.com and read the reports from 8/7 to 8/11 as Tim the captain has really summed it up so much better then I ever could. My final counts that I will be submitting is:

 

 

13 Yellowfin Tuna (biggest weighed 58#)

 

5   Albacore (biggest weighed 36#

 

3   Yellowtail (biggest was 44#)

 

One night on the dropper loop I brought over a few dozen calicos that were all just fat chunky fish but I will not be submitting those.

 

Anyways it was the sweetest trip of my life and the crew of this boat is the best I have ever experienced and the captain is probably the finest in the fleet my hats off to all of them that helped make this such a great time.

WOW!! Thats all I can say!! Congratulations on all those damn fish!! Your freezer is going to be full for a very long time!! I heard about those great whites at guadalupe island...that must of been insane to see those big monsters coming out of the water!! Unless they are grabbing your fish!! HAHA!! GREAT JOB!!

Yeah thats all I could say too. Yes my freezer will be on overload, once I hook everyone up I should be able to get it in there.

I was reading the report daily,but didnt share the info with site.I thought that it would be best comeing from you.
The daily reports were well written,i felt like i was on the trip .This was some of the best daily reports i have seen in a while ! The reports of the great whites  on the prowl,were awsome ! But knowing the damage they can do ,i started to think what it must be like after an incredible fight ,to loose it to the beast at the boat.
Thanks for the report yesterday ,and i cant wait to hear more about it over a few cold ones .

Yeah his reports on our trip were just perfect! I started writing one up then I just said screw that go read it from the captains mouth. It was such a crazy experience to be apart of that words are hard to describe it. Cant wait to have some cold ones this Sunday, get your freezer ready buddy!!
