Hi Guys. It's been a while since I have been able to post. This chemo I've been on for the last 6 months was really kicking my ass for the last 6 weeks and I want to thank Slowplay for taking the time to call me from time to time to check in and make sure I was still kicking.

 

I had a chance to talk to Slowplay about some of the changes and I think that with the interest level that the SoCal members exhibit, and the diehard fishermen that we have on this site, a lot of these changes will make our site more fun for more anglers.

 

More mini tourneys, fresh water competitions, maybe a mini challenge for our members that don't have access to a boat like many of us do, would make our site even better for folks that want to experience fishing the way we do.

 

I also will volunteer to get us hooked up with a 1.5 or a 2 day boat and captain for next year, and we could start the 1st (of what I would hope will be many) annual SoCal Saltwater Slaughter.

 

If anyone is interested, I have been doing quite well this year hoop netting for lobsters and while the weather is still good ws thinking of making a Catalina run for a night of netting and tall tails. Sure would be fun to get a few boats rafted up on the hook, socialize and gank a few bugs with some of you. Slowplay, Bmac, Marlintini, Spark....or anybody else that has some interest please let me know.

I am in for a lobster trip for sure!! I am up for a 1.5 day trip as well, that would be a blast if we could get some guys to make it happen.

 

Sorry to hear about the chemo Im sure thats gotta suck, glad your still around and getting some lobsters and fish.

Thanks for the kind words Bigfish...It looks like I am going to be out of town this weekend but if this weather holds lets get a few of the guys together and rendezvous over at Cat the following weekend for a little bug fest!!
