I'm looking for a good spot in Newport without a boat. If anyone knows of any and could tell me it would be greatly appreciated!
Fishing isn't a matter of life and death....It's much more important.

I had a bro tell me earlier that the halibut have moved in very shallow and a surf fisher picked up a 28 pounder at the river inlet yesterday. It was laying in about 6 feet of water. This guy slammed the hallies yesterday but most where short. All where very shallow.

I lived right near the river jetties for years and I agree that it is a great spot to fish if you don't have a boat....
Fish on!!!!
