Fishing Fools cut short

Got started early Saturday morning for some predawn bass fishing of some of the local reefs with Silverghost.  Pick up 2 legal sandies and 1 calico 17.5''.  Headed inside to fish butts on the outgoing tide.  Unfortunatly fishing was cut short due to the boat prop getting fouled on a rouge drift sock that someone had lost.  Got towed, put on the trailer and a quick end to our Fishing Fools tournment fishing.

Thanks to Berzerker and Ofer for the helping hands at the ramp.

Had to cut the drift sock off the twin props. Put it back in the water on the trailer, shifted a few times and put it under load with no problems. Unhooked from the trailer and backed off, shifted into forward and moved about 10 feet and the outdrive drive shaft came through the top of the outdrive housing.

No saving the drift sock or the out drive!  Outdrive $15,000, Vesseel Assist worth every penny,  Fishin' Fools tournament fun - PRICELES

So to say the least we missed fishing Sunday in hopes of moving to the top of the leader board.

Jay was a good stick for the short day that we had.

Thanks all for your help at the dock getting back on the trailer. Bezerker got some great photos of the ordeal.

Bad day all around. I thought we were having a run of poor luck with Ofer dumping all seven bites for the day when I heard your call to Vessel Assist. Then I saw what transpired with the outdrive at the ramp and knew our poor day was nothing. Hope you are not off the water too long. One photo for the site.
