Wind wind break and then more wind, thats how the day went.Got a late start, on the water around 9out of newport. Met spark and yoddabogs at the entrance of the harbor .We headed south. Tried the drift ,but no dice on that,so we set the hook.I couldnt buy a bass, the boy kept getting short after short. He must of caught 10-15 shorts. He ended up with 3 for the tat. I ended up with a white fish a short sheephead and a lizzerd fish.

Wind gave us a break around 2 ,headed to the 14 mile bank for some taco meat about 9 miles out we found this.

It was nice unill about 2 miles from the 14 then mr wind showed up again.Did manage to fullfill the taco order but it was tough Headed in around 5 got our ass handed to us by the wind ,but still fun being out there.

Great report Boss,
The wind did have its way with us also.
We headed out down the line,looking/hoping
to find something other than the 5 pointers.
We tried several different reefs, points, boiler rocks.
But found it very tough fishing along the shoreline.

After we talked with you,we gave the inside harbor a try.
And as you mentioned it was BLOWING to say the least.
We gave it our best, but no luck inside for us either..

All I had to show for my efforts, was an extremely salty boat and gear!

You should of got on the floating dock for a picture,
with a rod in 1 hand and the other hand scratching your head.

An on board shot would have been very funny indeed, although hitting in the dark on the way to an island would not. Nice batch of nonpointer taco stuffers Labboss
