Hey guys. I haven't been able to fish much due to the chemo and the fact it's turned me into a puking machine but I did manage to get out last week on the Prowler for a quick trip to the rockpile. There were probably 60 boats there so it was kinda tight but the fun thing is that half the fish were hooked on bait and the other half on surface irons. Not too many things better than casting to a YT boil with an iron and hooking up. I am going to try to load the pics now....

This was my first fish and the biggest for me for the day. I hooked 4 and landed 2. When you're my age it's pretty imperative that you bring your glasses with you so you can see to tie a knot. I had 2 mono to fluoro mishaps before I finally got my knots right.

Sorry about the sideways post but I can't figure out how to rotate it and my numbskull buddy took the picture vertically instead of horizontally and it's the only pic I have of my smaller fish.
On a personal note, I won't be in the running this year for any of the awards. My health is just too poor but I want to congratulate all the SoCal members that have been active this year and let you know that I am insanely stoked to see the level of participation this year. Please continue to fish, have fun and post your catches. It's not the final result that matters, it's getting out there and having fun. Good luck to all.
