Blog Entry: I am always bringing heavy gear "just in case" and as it would turn out today as I'm fishing @ the 14 for monster rockfish (shhhhhh) Mr & Mrs. mako performed their usual acrobatics less than 100 yrds in front of me... I know what they were snacking on ;-) but as I reached for my avet - - shiat, damn , piss... anywho... 2 Makos - 4-6ft & the other maybe to 8ft water temp = 62.06 water color = blue-ish green.. FYI - -Major case of red tide outside newportharbor this afternoon..
